Intro to Con Side:
Millions of animals die a year from animal testing, so many that no person knows the exact amount (Animal Testing 1). Animal testing, otherwise known as, vivisection, is the dissection or cutting of a living animal (Nagel 1). This has been going on for a little more than 100 years. In 1939, recently after World War II had ended, animal testing kicked up a notch. Doctors and scientists who normally had only used cows, sheep and goats started testing their products on dogs, cats, rats, mice and monkeys (Nagel 1).

Animal Testing is used throughout the entire United States and even the world. It is used in scientific labs to discover cures to diseases, and is used in the beauty market to test the newest hair product. Animal testing affects everyone everywhere. Animal testing is not necessarily accurate therefore a human being can still get sick or even hurt. This is a negative affect that many companies seem to overlook. Animal Testing should be discouraged because it is costly, violets animal rights and results in in-conclusive research.
